Robin Hood - French- Report

Robin Hood - French - Progress Report

Our aim is to ensure children understand and learn to love the culture of France and to gain good
listening and speaking skills. We use lively role play, games, bingos, songs and activities to make
French culture both enjoyable and memorable.
It is a pleasure to teach your children and I hope they enjoy as much as we do. If you have specific
questions, please see me after the club or send an email to
We always start the session with greetings (bonjour, comment ça va?) and we revise what we have
done the week before. During the session we practice numbers in tens(10, 20, 30…). We play games
to learn how to describe a person: les cheveux blonds (blond hair), les yeux noirs (black eyes); We
have learned vocabulary of food ingredients: le pain( bread), la tomate, l’oignon, le beurre (butter);
Les pieces de la maison( rooms in the house): la cuisine (kitchen), la chambre(bedroom); Les
meubles (furniture): la chaise (chair), la table; J’aime (I like), je n’aime pas( Idon’t like), j’adore(I love)
and je déteste (I hate). We practiced to make short sentences with all the vocabulary learned.
