Alexandra French - Progress Report

CLUB ALEXANDRA INFANT
TEACHER BAHAR MOMENI
TERM SUMMER 2017
PRESENTATION FOR PARENTS: 30th November at 4.20pm

Our aim is to ensure children understand and learn to love the culture of France and to gain good listening and speaking skills. We use lively role play, games, bingos, songs and activities to make French culture both enjoyable and memorable.

It is a pleasure to teach your children and I hope they enjoy as much as we do. If you have specific questions, please see me after the club or send an email to sarah@childrensclubs.com

GAMES AND ACTIVITIES:
We started each session with basic greetings: “bonjour comment ça va “ (hello, how are you)”ça va bien”(I am fine) “comme çi comme ça”(not to bad)”ça va mal”(I am bad); “Quel âge as-tu?”(how old are you?)”Où habites-tu?”(where do you live?)We played games such as “unlucky 13, 15,20 and… for learning how to count, we palyed“Jacques a dit” (the French version of Simon says) to learn vocabularies and sentences and to review the words already learned before and we sang the songs “chez le docteur”(to the doctor) and “dans sa maison un grand cerf”(in his house a big deer). We have learned basic polite sentences: “I would like” (Je voudrais);”Thank you” (Merci) and “Please” (s’il te plaît) which the children are encouraged to use them in sentences, we also learned to make negative sentences through games for ex: “c’est bleu?” “non ce n’est pas bleu”; “c’est toi?” “non ce n’est pas moi”.

A revision or numbers, colours and vocabularies; “Le sandwich et les ingrédients”, le jambon, la baguette… (ham, baguette…); “Le visage”(the face): la tête, les yeux, le nez…(head, eyes, nose…); ”Les boissons”(drinks): le chocolat chaud, le jus d’orange…(hot chocolat, orange juice…); ”Les vêtements”(clothing):la robe, le chapeau…(the dress, the hat…).
